Interrogé lors du récent TCA Press Tour, le nouveau président de la CW, Mark Pedowitz, a révélé quelques informations concernant Tom Welling :
"Has Tom Welling approached you to produce any other shows for the network?
PEDOWITZ: Well, I know Tom is probably in development right now. I do hope that he comes back to The CW, and I do hope he comes with a show that he wants to star in. We would be very receptive to the whole thing."
De fait, Mark Pedowitz semble très réceptif aux projets de Tom Welling (que ce soit en tant qu'acteur ou producteur), et espère que ces projets se concrétiseront sur la CW.
De plus, on apprend que Tom a signé avec une nouvelle agence, WME et a ainsi quitté CAA, qui l'a représenté durant toute sa carrière (et donc durant Smallville). Cette récente signature peut ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives de carrière pour l'acteur.
